The third and final (?) volume in the Rural Ragas series definitely leans more towards the drone side than others in the series. The folk tunes are practically absent on this one, or smothered in sitars, harmoniums and what not; to the point where they don't sound like traditional folk music at all anymore. Many of these songs, just pick one, they're all quite similar, but Morning Raga and Afternoon Raga > Germanium Drone are personal favorites, transported me to the middle east, in a harem where I could reenact the Kama Sutra while a sandstorm was raging outside. The music is incredibly hypnotizing and I'm sure should not be listened to while driving or operating heavy machinery. Dreamy, trippy and as potent as ever. My personal favorite in the series. The CD-R comes housed in a thick booklet with additional psychedelic artwork and is limited to only 99 copies as always.
