Album Cover

MV+EE's most elaborately packaged release to date. This one comes in the shape of a small booklet in order to fit a small, surrealist poem by Matt Valentine and the CD-R is placed on the back panel of the book. I am not very interested in the poetry, but I do find the music on this album to be particularly fascinating. The duo finally lets their spirits roam free and in doing so, the music sounds truly inspired, especially on the five part Let Your Life Breath which takes up most of the album. There are in fact only three other songs: Lamar's Trick brings back the oud and the group's middle-eastern influences; When Your Way Gets Darkened sounds like a traditional folk tune played by a bunch of drunken oafs on heavy sedatives and Lead Me To Vibration is a confusing, noisy little number whose only vibration it lead me too is my index finger scratching my scalp. Rare as hell unfortunately.
