Matthaeus Pipelare

National Flag

I know practically nothing about this french-flemish medieval composer of chansons and motets. His work is apparently almost exclusively vocal (the instrumental work is apparently lost forever). It's pure hazard that I've even heard his work. I obtained the CD for free from work. This was a perfect way to discover classical music. Pipelare remains quite obscure and I believe there is this one and only CD out there with his work.
