Rahdunes

I might not be a huge fan of split releases, I hate having to buy one album simply because I like one of the two or three artists included on the split. I am almost always disappointed by the "supporting" artists. However, once in a while I get a pleasant surprise. This is such a case. Rahdunes is a one man band from San Francisco bent on bringing you the most tripped out sounds humanly possible. Like watching a Sesame Street episode backwards and in extremely slow motion, these soundscapes feel like time travel, or maybe a severe bad trip after a Nyquil overdose. Dark ambient no-wave would be a pretty good subgenre in which to classify Rahdunes. Sometimes the rock aspect of the music might take over the drone, but there is always a balance between the two. Fans of Double Leopards and My Cat Is An Alien should definitely check this guy out.
