At only twenty-seven minutes long, this short album (EP?) remains one of the most psychedelic outings the band has released yet. It sounds as if it were recorded live (some voices are heard in the background). I couldn't even tell you if these were loops you are hearing; things are extremely repetitive, but the addition of strange new sounds showing up regularly makes me wonder how this was all created. I am soon reminded however to give up my efforts and simply submit to the music. This is some pretty far out shit, brain melting stuff, like aural LSD. Very close to the sounds of Double Leopards had they been more into psych-out sounds. Every track has something that makes it unique, the loops on the first one, the flute on the second one, the sirens of the third track and the extremely strange strumming and bass noises of the last track (easily the best one here). Too bad this is out-of-print, very good stuff! |
