It was only a matter of time before The Skaters would release something on Wolf Eyes's label American Tapes (although this is on CD-R). Of course you get pretty much what was expected of this band, drones, drones and distorted drones and loops and more drones. The sound is pretty shitty here (in comparison to say Palmshaper); sounds live to me, but I couldn't say if it was as there is no information on the media. Track three (all are untitled - again) remains practically ambient throughout, but it is also the shortest at under two minutes; track five is another similar track. My favorite is track six however with it's two note harmonium melody (not unlike Fursaxa) and arpeggios. Beautiful noise (is that an oxymoron?)! Worth checking out if you can get your hands on a copy (it's limited to an edition of only one hundred with spray-painted covers in a slim color-tinted jewel cases).
