Album Cover

The first track on this album sounds like a fax machine gone haywire (or an internet signal trying to escape). The exotic and playful side of the group surfaces again on this release, it's noisy, but it's not just noise. The weird sounds are fun and engaging, with plenty of loops and with the vocals playing a smaller role. At nine minutes into the first side, some interesting string work comes along and joins the drone. The second track on side two is actually a very low quality This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) by Talking Heads (thus the name of the album) from the album Speaking In Tongues, creating the illusion that a used tape might have been used to record the music. This is their third release within a month (and the best of the three). I am unfamiliar with this label (Fuck It Tapes), but it's got beautiful cover artwork and the packaging is quite "high-class" for a tape-only label.
