Album Cover

One of my all-time favorite obscurities from psych history. There are few albums one encounters in a lifetime which really have a huge impact on them; these records go on to have a meaning in this persons life on a personal level and they take on a life of their own with each listen, brewing up emotions in the listener (often of belonging). Shh! is such an album for me, I feel like it is mine and nobody else's. These songs speak to me, I find incredible beauty in these rugged sounds, it's difficult to explain. Opening Heinäsirkat is a classic with it's a pulsating, hypnotizing background and loud high-pitched locust noises. Korvapoliklinikka Hesperia has a very dark and gloomy atmosphere using electronic drones and weird taxi dispatch call recordings. The CD-R comes with four exclusive bonus tracks with vocals (Suite 71) which are as great as anything on the album.
