Album Cover

This was the first Squarepusher release I bought. I always thought it was an album, but found out years later that it is actually a compilation of early EPs with the addition of a few exclusive tracks. Many of the tracks here truly embody the artist's mashing together of both his drill'n'bass sound with his love of jazz fusion. The album basically sounds like Miles Davis Bitch's Brew and On The Corner condensed to a dangerously unstable and experimental size and then boosted with large amounts of amphetamines. Regardless of the fact that it this is simply a compilation, there is a nice flow to the album and this remains one of my favorite records to listen to in the artist's discography. This some tight shit and there is seriously not a single dull tune to be found (considering there are surprises every few seconds) and I would definitely recommend this one to anyone who is curious about Squarepusher. Track names are not listed on the CD.
