Jenkinson once again revisits his sound of yore, focusing almost exclusively on upbeat and jazzy melodies and a not-too-obtrusive approach to his usual spastic beats. Hello Everything simply feels like that hot saturday morning shower, when you know you've got the whole day ahead of you and anything is possible! Traditional instruments feature a lot more than usual as well; Jenkinson is a virtuoso musician (he is behind every instrument: drums, guitar, bass, sampling, etc.!) and it's simply enthralling to hear him play. You can tell he had a lot of fun recording this album and his high spirits rubs off on the listener. Contrary to many of the recent albums before this one, there are very few truly alienating tunes on the album (I can only point out Vacuum Garden and Orient Orange), but even these are so far apart they don't disrupt the album's flow. This version of Hello Everything comes with a bonus 3"CD's worth of experimental drone bits.
