This short EP was the first release by Squarepusher for Warp Records 9these tunes would later be compiled along with the american version of Big Loada). The title track once again contrasts Jenkinson's trademark hyperactive beats against a mellow background of soft pads and strummed acoustic guitars. This track is like a warm cup of finely brewed coffee on a pleasant summer morning... but with really heavy jitters! Problem Child (which is the track that made me discover Squarepusher in the first place) is a much more chaotic tune with the constant rattle of beats, walking bass lines and bursts of short melodies attacking you from all sides. Cool but exhausting. Significant Other is a short and fun filler track which focuses on Jenkinson's darker sounds. EP comes in a slim single jewel case with minimal artwork.
