Yet another EP release for 1997 (man that guy was productive back then)! The title track is actually a collaboration with Richard D. James yet the sound is unmistakably Squarepusher's (it could easily have been included on his Hard Normal Daddy album). Lone Raver is an aggressive number which rarely leaves any breathing space for the listener; I practically broke a sweat the first time I heard it! The last two tracks were included on the american version of Big Loada. Fat Controller (G7000 Remix) sounds so different from the original version that it could easily have passed off as a new tune (only the modified bassline is a hint at the original) while as The Barn (303 Kebab Mix) is a fun - if short - acid tune which will dissolve your eardrums it's so addictive. Just like the Port Rhombus EP, the Vic Acid CD is housed in a slim single size jewel case. |
