Album Cover

This album is huge, not because it's a double album with two hours worth of music, but because it is astronomical in depth. The CD itself, small in size, acts as a black hole, a portal into a new dimension, sucking you into it's immensity once it starts spinning and the digits transform into sound. Since this came out back in 2001, there hasn't been a month passed without me listening to it! I absolutely adore this record. Why? Because the most beautiful drones I have ever heard are here; they are slow, majestic, and perfectly tuned to achieve a maximum dramatic effect. Opener Requiem For Dying Mothers Part 1 is such a tune, but my two favorites are Mullholland and A Love Song (For Cubs)+ Part 1; when the brass swells up towards the end of this song, I have to catch my breath it feels like an epiphany with each listen. I couldn't possibly recommend this album enough! A must!
