Burp, fart, noise, cough, wheeze, honk, mongoloid grunt, kerplunk, thud, whimper, sigh, moan, whizz, scream, kisses, cries. If all these noises excite you, then this is the record for you. Add some delay effects and even more noises (like boing, twing, zip and bubble) and you know what this Sunburned Hand Of The Man record is all about (at first I thought this album was credited to the "Clear People", but Moloney confirmed it is actually a SHOTM album). They've explored similar territory before so I wasn't at all surprised to hear this particular excursion. Personally, this is not really my cup of tea; arrhythmical tribal beats, random cartoon noises and caveman grunts doesn't always do it for me (although Fantômas have excited my braincells at times doing the exact same thing). Maybe there's this top secret concept behind this record, or maybe it's just about the squink, blurble and kuff-ah.
