The first of many DVD-R releases by Sunburned Hand Of The Man, this short twenty-three minute video is the best way to experience the whole Sunburned phenomenon without actually seeing them live. The show took place on January 31st 2004 and it features one long track much in the same vein as the band's earliest recordings (Jaybird, Wildanimal). The pace is mostly slow and quite heavy, but when the band suddenly go off into all sorts of bizarre directions, you just might lose your concept of time and space! The music is only part of the whole Sunburned experience. To see them falling all over the place, using whatever object they can find to bang on an instrument or as an instrument and still be able to follow a beat is simply fascinating. It puts a smile on my face every time. The mess is all part of the fun! "How the fuck are they gonna get to the end of the song without someone dying or getting seriously injured!?" 100 copies! |
