I fuckin' love Sunburned Hand Of The Man, and this is one justifies my appreciation of their music. I'm not (yet) very familiar with Paul Flaherty, but I barely hear anything else but the boys from Massachusetts here. Side One is one of the most FUCKED UP things I've ever heard the band come up with... EVER!!!. Seriously, this one even rivals with my love of The Secret In Disguise it's so fucking out of this world! Fucked up electronics, the gang-banging of a saxophone, funky lo-fi beats and an almost zealous worshipping of a vocabulary enhancer (I love the letter "B" so fucking much man!!) all adds up to some of the most mind-blowing music I've heard from the group in ages! Side Two, although it is mellower, remains as brain-dissolving as the first. Flaherty takes on a bigger role here, but there's enough of the Sunburned touch to let you know who's boss. Flipped vocals, backwards music samples? Yeah! We've got another winner here!
