Geez! Sometimes the Sunburned clan can come out with something that's so completely out of left field that it'll break your legs and force you to the ground, weeping. What the fuck is this album? The first track, Read My Mind is basically scraping percussive instruments accompanied by someone chanting "Ooga-booga" over and over again (!!?). The rest sounds like pagan devil-worshipping music. This is by far, their craziest effort yet, even more so than A Manhunt In D. The arrangements are quite skeletal, almost nonexistent with a few strange noises to liven things up a bit once in a while. On Thin Air, you get a false upbeat dance music start before immediately evaporating into the ether. The very next track could have been a song on Pee Wee's Playhouse. Can't say I really enjoy this album much. I like strange music, but without at least a semblance of dynamics, my attention is lost.
