This is, HANDS DOWN, the biggest surprise and my absolute favorite album of 2007! I have never been a big Tarentel fan, but this album has converted me and I am now completely obsessed. These two CDs conveniently collect all the tracks from an earlier series of four limited-edition vinyls (now out of print). Together, they form one of the most intensely psychedelic, tribal, monolithic, primitive and unique album I've ever heard! EVER! Some people have argued that the album is quite uneven, but I personally fail to hear any weak tracks here. The songs can go from incredibly noisy to practically silent, yet the album remains homogenous no matter how far into deep space the group tend to explore. The patented Tarentel sound is intact and fascinating with every new twist and turn, and this applies for each and every song. I wouldn't want to ruin anything by describing the album in detail. Just buy it, you'll thank me later.
