It's all here! The roots to the whole psych folk revival of the east coast. This album is fun to hear because, besides the fact that it can get quite noisy at times, it sounds almost exactly like any of the later stuff released by these artists. These guys knew what they wanted to do from the very beginning. I can't make out any bizarre, oriental music instruments, but the sounds they manage to create with more traditional instruments is pretty fascinating; beautiful and most definitely out there. It's fun to hear artists besides Jandek who have used the whole, amateur, detuned sound even before the whole finnish scene came out with a bang. Highlights include Spirit Of Love, an incredibly touching folk tune with a nostalgic pastoral vibe, Metal Spray Cans, which sounds a lot like the future psychedelia of Fursaxa and Ain Soph (Fuckere & The Pre-Tanks!), a good example of the band at their noisiest.
