These were recordings of the band touring Sweden and Norway in 1971 and it was released in an edition of 1000 LPs a year later on Tall Records. It sounds incredible. This was the first album I bought by Träd, Gräs Och Stenar. Just hearing the first track, Sanningens Silverflod, I knew I was going to get hooked. This song is so perfectly crafted, it's heavy, repetitive but increases in intensity throughout and when they start howling along to the tune near the half-mark, it brings shivers down my spine. Heck I almost got an epiphany the first time I listened to it!. The rest of the album is practically as good as the opening track. Vår Vila, for example, makes great use of distorted vocals and Drammen Export/Sommarlåten is a great psychedelic track with it's minimal changes and effect pedals. The last track on the CD, a thirty-two minute long bonus track is a dark and brooding jam. Wonderful! |
