Träd, Gräs Och Stenar's first album starts off with two covers songs. It's their own version of The Rolling Stones' Satisfaction that really demonstrates that they are still quite a heavy group. This is probably the most depressing version of this song ever. These guys were obviously not getting any satisfaction... ever! Heavy, slow and psychedelic is also Tegenborgsvalsen, a new take on an old swedish folk tune. All Makt Åt Folket is the most experimental tribal jam in the group's career, it even sounds like No-Neck Blues Band in parts with it's chaotic use of flutes and howls. It's my personal favorite song on the album. A close second is the last track on the album, Svarta Pärla, a slow and droning folk song which reaches it's peak when the title is evoked at the chorus. Beautiful. |
