Futureworld was an amazing album, but Red Line is simply fucking brilliant. This is the one that will cement Trans Am in the annals of rock history. There's twenty-one tracks, it's all over the place, but it hits you hard, real hard and although it lasts well over an hour, time just flies by when these songs blast in your ears. What a great intro as well, Let's Take The Fresh Step Together is basically the Microsoft Windows initial chimes slowed down to unrecognizable speeds (but fast-forward it on your CD player and voilà!). There are tons of classics: the exhausting I Want It All and Play In The Summer; the epic The Dark Gift; even the creepy Where Do You Want To Fuck Today? sounds amazing. What really makes me go nuts about Red Line however are the last five tracks. From Bad Cat until the end, you're on your own my friends, because these songs will destroy everything in their path. You'd better come prepared. |
