Why does everyone bitch about this album? Yes OK, they did take a sharp turn after the threatening yet powerful Red Line and yeah, the group photo is, well... hmm... *cough* mm, yes... but besides a few odd choices, TA really kicks ass. This was my personal party album in 2002! Loved it and still do. Cold War, Molecules and Run With Me is the perfect trio to get the party moving. You Will Be There continues along the same line later on. It's not all fun and games however, Bonn and C Sick sound like leftovers from Surrender To The Night; Party Station could easily fit on Futureworld and Afternight sounds incredibly downbeat when compared to the rest of the record. The only song that I simply can not stand however is Different Kind Of Love, this crosses the line into sellout territory for me. The funky bubble bass lines, saxophone solos, and male/female duo chorus is just too much. If I want to hear commercial dribble, I'll just purchase some Simply Red. |
