Released in puny editions, the early Acid Mothers Temple label records are practically impossible to find today and fetch high prices on eBay. Here is the next best thing, you might not get whole albums, but you do get a glimpse at what makes them tick, plus you get a full CD featuring an exclusive, one hour long version of AMT's Pink Lady Lemonade (with an incredible noise/buzz passage in the middle of the track). The different artists on the two remaining CDs all have one thing in common; whether it be through the folk tones of Fursaxa or Frédéric or the rock'n'roll of Cosmic Riders or Tsurubami, they all sound quite psychedelic. This was somewhat expected of the AMT clan of course. There are many traditional oriental sounding tunes as well. I am not on the lookout for most of these records, but I have promised myself to hunt down a copy of Fursaxa's Mandrake one day. |
