Wonderful compilation of underground artists helming from Helsinki. I see this as a wonderful addition to Jukka Lindfors' Arctic Hysteria series (they even share a song). the only difference is that Pilottilasit focuses mainly on the industrial noise and electronica scene and is not as varied as the aforementioned releases, but then again, N&B Research Digest is all about the noise right? It's also one of the very rare places you will get to hear the underrated and way too obscure Swissair (Anton Nikkilä's early noise outfit) without having to hunt down the early tapes (dream on!). How about rereleasing these early tapes to a wider audience!? The CD comes in a clear jewel case with a simple sticker with track names on the front and info on the back (ah, the minimalist aesthetic!). Unfortunately, my copy was slightly damaged when I got it, so I can't replace the jewel case.
