Versatile Arab Chart might be the album that turned me on to The Vibracathedral Orchestra, but this is the album that went on to become my favorite. As soon as Hypnotism In Yr Hips blasts through my speakers (often on headphones), I am lifted off my feet and I know I won't be landing again before the album comes to a stop. Both the middle-eastern influences and the group's psychedelic tendencies are through the roof throughout. Listening to Bombay Starts Disco is like sitting in an opium den (not that I've ever done it) and getting lost in the surrounding smoke while Going Out Intending To Dig is getaway music... in an arab marketplace. If you only plan on getting one album by this collective, then look no further, you simply won't need anything else (but if you're like me, this will only make you even more curious and go out and get everything the group has put out). Essential!
