Whenever you put on a Vibracathedral Orchestra record on, you know what to expect (at least if you've heard them before), you'd think all these drones and exotic instruments buzzing in your ears would get tedious after a while, but no; the group always manages to make their sound seem fresh and completely out of this world, one album after the other. And Lino Ho is no exception. From the pounding strings of Roll On Roll Off (a song which could easily have crawled it's way into that incredible Pärson Sound double CD) to the alien soundscapes of Pink Twinkle (sounding nothing like the version on Hollin, even though we are apparently supposed to listen to both albums back to back), it surprisingly never gets boring. If you like the group at it's noisiest, then you should definitely check out Chasing A Rabbit, this track will have you tapping your feet regardless of the chaos surrounding you. A perfect VCO album for newbies (along with the harsher Hollin). |
