For those of you who can't get enough of the VO in a live setting, here comes three, that's right three CD-R's worth of music taken from their tour of the USA back in 2003. This release is quite difficult to digest in just one sitting and with so much going on, there won't be any surprises when I tell you that it is quite uneven when it comes to both the sound and the playing. Some of these shows sound great, like the September show at Orbits in Fredericksburg Orbits (this one seems to have been a peaceful show), but others, like the Ecstatic Yod/New Grass Florence gig sounds very thin and distant. I personally prefer when VO keep their songs more compact instead of thinning them out for hours on end (MMICD is a much better live album than this one), so this one doesn't come out of my CD shelf very often. Is there such a thing as Vibracathedral Orchestra overkill?
