Here's another live recording by VO to add to your collection, this time on Tom Greenwood's (of Jackie-O Motherfucker) U-Sound Archive label. The first fifty copies of each release on this label are said to be in special handmade packages, but the rest all come in this ugly generic-looking digipack. Two tracks only, with one clocking in at over forty-three minutes long. On their website, we are informed that the first twelve minutes of this track is actually the band tuning up and getting ready; and indeed, that makes a lot of sense when you listen to it even though it is difficult to pinpoint exactly when the song starts. The whole show seems to be a guitar/drums only affair with very little variation; no wonder they kept those initial twelve minutes as they are more interesting than the rest of the tune. The Manchester gig is much noisier and definitely more interesting than the Leeds show.
