Vladislav Delay
Vladislav Delay is Sasu Ripatti who is also known as Uusitalo, Sistol and Luomo (and probably others I don't know of). As Delay, Ripatti creates a distinctive brand of experimental glitch/ambient techno with a strong house influence (Luomo, is the moniker he uses when he goes all-out with the house beat). There are also touches of dub in his sound on some of his recordings, but they are manipulated to the point where they are practically unrecognizable. I can hear similarities with Pole's sound; the glitch and hiss and "broken" noises.
I first heard of Vladislav Delay after a friend of mine suggested him when I was asking him if he could suggest a band with a similar feel to Boards Of Canada. Although I don't think they sound the same at all, both do have a certain melancholic feel to their songs, but this is true of Delay only when he is at his most ambient. Along with Pan Sonic, I believe him to be the most original electronic artist to come out of Finland.
