According to the band's website, these early tapes will eventually be re-released on some format or other in the future, but after a quick chat with one of the members, this is unlikely to happen any time soon. Hopefully the project will materialize one day considering that there is some pretty intense "volcanoisms" on here. Vol Tu is proof to me that the band's sound, although rawer here, was fully formed right from the start and, according to me, even stronger than some of their later efforts. The comparisons to Faust and The Residents are more obvious as well if somewhat noisier. There is strong use of electronic instruments throughout the album but they are the driving force on favorites like Velcro Symbols and Singular Greatness. The cassette is obviously homemade with minimal, xeroxed artwork and is limited to only fifty copies (probably less!) I was surprisingly lucky enough to find a copy for under twenty bucks on eBay.
