Album Cover

Oh Jesus! What the hell IS going on here actually? Silent intros, pulsating, distorted, unidentifiable noises, feedback and what not. This album is a psychedelic mess from the first second to the last. Amidst The Noise And The Twigs uses the same rhythmic noise which will be used again on Where Are The Bounds?, the incredible opening track off of Yak Folks Y'Are. On Vast Basket, a bizarre free-jazz noise fest, Apple Talk's "whispered" vocals are accompanied by cries and yelps worthy of The Boredoms Yamatsuka Eye! Too bad it's such a short track. The intro to Tadpole Alphabet is also quite interesting: it's an almost ambient song with bizarre vocals and soft chimes in the background. The CD-R comes with different artwork from the Beta-Lactam Ring Records edition. It is limited, but I have no idea how many copies of this Volucan version were released.
