Wata
Wata is of course the guitarist from legendary doom/psych/noise legends Boris. Who knew someone with such a small frame could churn up some of the most aggressive, intense and mammoth-sized riffs known to man? However, she seems to reserve these juggernaut sounds for her work within the band; as a solo artist, she can finally expose her feminine side (don't get any funny ideas here bub!) and seems to prefer a softer, more gentle approach. The music remains psychedelic, but the harshness has given way to a pleasant, shoe-gazing vibe.
