Can these guys do no wrong? Seriously! I have yet to hear a release I don't like. I bought the CD version when I found out it was getting re-released on vinyl. The album starts off relatively calm (and by calm I mean they aren't trying to blow up your speakers right away) with slow rhythmical glitches creating the background for various ear piercing swells of static noise. By the third track, the bass kicks in with a thud and joins in the mess (there's some great bastard noise here). Track four is where the band try and mess with your stereo equipment. The noise is so high-pitched at times, I've actually had dogs gather on my front porch when playing it loud. And there's plenty more surprises in stock (the last track is particularly great!). The CD comes with a beautiful aluminum foil cover with matches in the spine (I didn't have any when I received mine, but I cheated and put some in there myself). |
