Yagya
Yagya is the artist name of icelandic electronic music producer Aalsteinn Gumundsson. His music is very soft and ambient. He is obviously influenced by the work of Wolfgang Voigt as Gas. Other similar artists are Markus Guentner, Loscil and to certain extent, Vladislav Delay. He is apparently a member of other electronic groups which I am not familiar with. I picked up on Yagya while checking out everything that came out on the Force Inc. label. Not much similarities with other artists from this label however. No extremely minimalist beats or cold atmospheres; no, this would have been much more at home on the Kompakt label due to his warm, fuzzy sounds. I sold my first copy to finance my trip to Sweden, but was lucky enough to find it in a bargain bin in a record store in Stockholm for approximately three bucks!
