Album Cover

Released under the band name Fire, Water, Air, this album includes Sky Saxon (later of The Seeds) and other members of the recently deceased Father Yod's sect. At the time, it was also released on those old eight-track tapes only. There's some pretty heavy psyche music going on here actually. Looking at that cover, I was expecting happy-hippy camp songs like on All Or Nothing At All. Time Travel, the first track, is an absolutely astonishing number; the guitar is heavy-as-hell, feedback seeps in between the thick slabs of tribal drumming and it's all instrumental! Some of the music here is very similar to what Träd, Gräs Och Stenar were doing a few years earlier if that's any help. Wolf Pack is another wild number which sounds very close to early heavy metal of the time (the reverse vocals keep the song well within the psychedelic genre however). An hour's worth of great psych-out!
