This site has two purposes for me: first and foremost, it is to experiment with HTML language in order to create and design my own pages. All you see I have created using information picked up from helpful sites on the net. I know a lot of you can tell how amateurish this site might be, but I'm still learning and eventually, the site will get better and better as my collection grows larger and my authoring skills progress. Who knows, maybe one day I'll change the whole design if I get tired of it or discover new possibilities (you're already looking at version 2.0!). For now, everything is quite basic, but my goals are to make this look as professional as possible (although the code might not always be as clean and elegant as it should be). I don't like flashy things so I try to avoid them.
I also created the site in order to share my love of strange and original music with others while keeping track of everything I've got in my collection at any given time. So if I ever get robbed (God forbid!), I'll have archived and made everything public. I'll eventually try to include pictures as extra proof. For every recording I have, I will include a small humble review and a description of the artist or how I came to start listening to them. This is in order to make these pages more interesting than other "collection" sites which are often just listed items: an autobiographical music collection if you will. These reviews are far from being objective like the one's you might find in Wire magazine and nowhere near as creative as the typical Pitchfork prose. I see them as being more akin to the ones found at Aquarius Records (sorry if you guys are reading this and don't agree). The quality will vary quite a bit depending on how inspired I am at the time of writing (which often depends on how much coffee I've been drinking that day). I hope you'll find these pages fun to read and explore and that you will keep coming back as new albums and reviews come up.
I have sold a lot of CDs and vinyl ever since I started collecting. Practically all of them disappeared when came time to finance my move to Sweden (from Quebec, Canada) and a box with ninety CDs was lost a few years earlier (which included a huge Residents collection - I still have mental scars from that one) by the post office. These records are not included in these pages even though I am familiar with them. I eventually plan to get them back, but I am often too busy buying new albums and getting the old stuff back becomes less of a priority. So before you start writing to me and asking why I don't have artist "N" or "X", you should remember these things. Otherwise, any comments, corrections, details are more then welcome. If you find typos, syntaxical errors, broken links, things that don't make any sense or wrong information (it's possible, you can't always believe what you read on the net, but please link me to facts if you do so), I encourage you to contact me and let me know (by clicking on my name at the bottom or dragging it into your hotmail). I am planning to put up a forum so you can share your thoughts at one point, but that's not for now. Please note that, unless otherwise noted, I don't do trades and I am not a sharing service. None of the albums here are available to be burned. Sorry.
The site is best viewed in all major browsers but looks best on Safari and Netscape. (IE has been giving me lots of trouble with the latest design, so bare with me if it doesn't look all that good, but I'm working on it!).

(August 12th, 2008)- Here's a much needed mini-update as the music keeps piling in. I've found one of AMM's more jazz-oriented works I've heard so far: To Hear And Back Again.
- lately, no album has managed to confuse me as much as Afrirampo's Kore Ga Mayaku Da. Ouch!
- I've had these two releases by finnish psych-folk veteran Keijo for quite some time now, but just got around to reviewing them. be sure to check out Whose Dream We Live In? and With All Belongings Into The Air.
- And while we're exploring finnish music, I thought I'd feed my love/hate relationship with Circle by getting two more of their albums (used of course). This time I found Forest and Tulikoira.
- But hold on! There's still more from Finland this time. just received this new one by the almighty Kemialliset Ystävät: the tour-only Harmaa Laguuni.
- I finally got around to reviewing two other works by Fennesz: the amazing Field Recordings 1995:2002 and Venice.
- And lastly, as I await yet again for more new material by the band, be sure not to miss Sunburned Hand Of The Man's latest sound puzzle entitled The Spatial Crime Symbol.
- WAY overdue for an update, so here it is! First off, be sure to go through my Sunburned Hand Of The Man collection as I've received a bunch of old and new stuff including: Civil Complaint on CD-R, Fuckethead, Glik, The Mouth At The End Of The Finger and the three-way split Inside The Fantastical Cave (along with Sightings and The Arb).
- Got a few new titles from MV+EE as well. It's mostly live stuff like Sniffin' Glue, Freedom Fries and Astral Bleachers, Big Moment - Pete's Picks Volume One (their first release on C.o.M. in a while). I also received a fun little 7" entitled The Best It Ever Was.
- Slowly building up my Animal Collective collection, this time with my personal favorite Sung Tongs.
- I managed to get my paws on the rare Repent CD on Siltbreeze by the always fascinating Dead C.
- Still trying to rebuild my unintentionally damaged collection of Gas releases. I found the original CD versions of Gas, Königsforst and Pop (with more rare stuff on the way).
- And of course, as the faithful slave that I am, I purchased a third version of Boris' Smile. This time it is the 2LP version on Southern Lord with extra tracks not found on any other edition.
- Got a bunch of new and old items in. Some of it rare, some of it not. I've been trying to get back all albums by Gas ever since I heard how huge the differences are between the original versions and the ones from the box set. It'll take a while, but for now, I found a pretty good copy of the first eponymous album on vinyl!
- I also went nuts for Gate these last few weeks and found a few missing albums including The Monolake, Amerika, The Lavender Head 1.1.1.2-2.1.2.2 and My Dear Sweet Reluctant Sweetheart.
- I found a used copy of the noise music scene's holy grail: Venereology by the always unwholesome Merzbow.
- Still within the whole noise scene, I found a used copy of the stunning At All Ends by Portland, Oregon's Yellow Swans.
- I adore LSD March, but I was really disappointed by his latest live album Jurando.
- Couldn't resist getting such a lush-looking box set for such a nice price: Steve Reich's Phases: A Nonesuch Retrospective.
- Boris were here this week and I took the opportunity to purchase some of the albums I was missing including the japanese edition of Sound Track From Film "Mabuta No Ura", their split release with Choukoku Ni Niwa entitled More Echoes, Touching Air Landscape and their only collaboration with psych veteran Keiji Haino called Black: Implication Flooding.
- Bought a few things from Finland as well. I ordered both of Paavoharju's latest releases: Laulu Laakson Kukista and the download-only EP confusingly titled Laulu Laakson Kukasta.
- Also from Finland, and it had been forever since I heard from her: Nukkuu by the always haunting Lau Nau.
- And as I await for still more of Sunburned Hand Of The Man's tour releases, here's two things I managed to get a bit earlier: Glak and Gluk.
- I've been pretty busy lately so the updates won't be coming as regularly. Lots of good stuff this time 'round. First off, I finally reviewed all of The Cure's deluxe edition reissues. The last one I had to take care of was Three Imaginary Boys.
- Can't believe I sold all my original Gas CDs for the new box set entitled Nah Und Fern. Not that it isn't good, but there were so many changes brought to the old albums (including new songs), that I'll need to get them all back to hear them as they were originally released. I bought both the 4CD and 2LP versions.
- After having reviewed the LP version of Thomas Köner's Unerforschtes Gebiet, I thought I'd also get the CD version for the bonus track.
- With the help of a friendly reader, I got my hands on the extremely rare double CD-R bootleg of La Monte Young's Just Charles & Cello In The Romantic Chord In A Setting Of Abstract #1 From Quadrilateral Phase Angle Traversals In Imagic Light.
- Three new and old Sunburned Hand Of The Man releases (and lots more still on the way): Live At The Eagle's Nest DVD-R, Weekend At Burnie's 7" and the rare Four Rocket.
- Three new MV & EE releases as well:the amazing Ragas Of The Culvert on LP (with an extra CD entitled Total Loss Songs), the Pray For Less tape with Willie Lane and the Moment Spacing/Bong Judge 7".
- Expo '70 is getting all drony on us again with his latest release, a split LP with Rahdunes.
- I finally switched my Acid Mothers Temple's Recurring Dream And Apocalypse Of Darkness CD for the double LP with extra tracks.
- Forgot to review this when I first received it months ago and it's a weird one: Avarus' Kirpujjen Saari.
- Moving along... moving along! Two classics by Steve Reich have made their way into my collection: Drumming and the essential Early Works.
- Got the two latest Jandek releases as well: Glasgow Friday and the double DVD (!!!) release of the Manhattan Tuesday concert.
- Added a new entry to my ongoing The Cure collection; their second album entitled Seventeen Seconds.
- Although there's still more Sunburned Hand Of The Man stuff on the way as we speak, I decided to add their latest The Sweeter Natural right away.
- Got this along with Sunburned's The Sweeter Natural: Aether Myth'd's A Night Outside.
- Four! That's right four new MV & EE releases: Foxgod In Flight, Iron Brew, Snake's Pass & Other Human Conditions and the CD-R version of Catalytic Dung.
- I also managed to hunt down the wonderful LP version of Thomas Köner's Unerforschtes Gebiet.
- And last but not least, after months of hassle because of a deadbeat eBay seller, I finally now own the amazing Boris and Doomriders split entitled Long Hair And Tights.
- Let's get another big chunk out of the way! Thinking I was gonna miss their latest gig in Montreal, I opted to hunt down as many of The Cure's deluxe edition re-issues. For now I found Faith, Pornography, The Top, The Head On The Door and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me. Thanks to a friend, I got a last minute ticket and saw my teenage idols live for the first time! Thanks Dom!
- Found two more used Sun Ra releases: the wonderfully weird Live In Paris At The "Gibus" and The Night Of The Purple Moon.
- Don't think I'll be paying full price for any more Nadja albums, but if they ever show up used like my copy of Skin Turns To Glass, I'll definitely hop on the occasion.
- Be sure to check out all my old and new Squarepusher releases (15 for now and more on the way)!. Most were found at a good price on eBay as a lot sale.
- OK! Time to update a bit, this stuff keeps piling up it's unbelievable! Everyone's been waiting for it and it's finally here after a ten year wait: Portishead's appropriately titled Third.
- I'm still expecting a bunch of new things in the next couple of days, but I had time to take care of this sole Sunburned Hand Of The Man release for this week: Charlie's Itch.
- Had to order Boris' American edition of Smile twice because my first copy arrived all broken up in the mail. I complained to Southern Lord, never got an answer so I reordered it and they sent me the CD in this huge fucking box with tons of bubble wrap and whatnot. Thought it was pretty funny, especially if they did it out of spite!
- Two new/old Sun Ra records I keep finding in used record stores. This time I found Nothing Is... and Jazz In Silhouette (just found two more this week so keep your eyes open if you're a fan).
- I'm on a jazzy rampage. Along with these Sun Ra CDs, I also found a bunch of Peter Brötzmann recordings as well. Got these four albums: Pica Pica, Fuck De Boere, Réservé and the classic Machine Gun.
- Finally got the latest Volcano The Bear releases (I know I'm still missing a bunch - one day, I'll find them all) including the CD reissue of The Mountains Among Us and their latest full length entitled Amidst The Noise And Twigs.
- Out on a shopping spree, I found a reasonably priced copy of Oval's 94diskont, one of my favorite albums of his.
- Andrew Chalk has released an old "noise" recording of his from 1986 when he was known as Ferial Confine: First, Second And Third Drop.
- And finally, I decided to get the cheaper, non-import version of the Boredoms latest installment: Super Roots #9.
- Added a few things once again to lower that pile of albums sitting on my desk! You should all check out Birchville Cat Motel's latest monster: Four Freckle Constellation.
- Bought everything I could afford from Acid Mothers Temple during their latest gig in Montreal! This is what I got: Magical Power From Mars, Acid Mothership Live, Cosmic Funeral Route 666, 41st Century Splendid Man Returns, Stones, Women & Records and their latest Recurring Dream And Apocalypse Of Darkness.
- How could I not buy one of Makoto Kawabata's solo releases at the same gig? Found a copy of his fourth installment in his "Private Sound Drawing Series entitled Unanswered Love.
- Got a bunch of new Jandek material in as well: his latest studio album The Myth Of Blue Icicles and two new DVDs from his ongoing live concerts, Glasgow Monday and Austin Sunday.
- Vajra has also come out with a new release (5 years after their latest studio album) and it's an absolute killer entitled Live 2007.
- I was lucky enough to receive two albums from psych-retro-drone master Expo '70 including a split release with SXBRS and the extremely rare The Wedding Album!
- And finally, the always sedative Excepter are up to no good again on their latest Debt Dept., their first release on Animal Collective's Paw Tracks label.
- Gotta keep things rolling if I want some breathing space! Just reviewed a bunch of new Boris releases including the latest japanese edition of their new album Smile and their two related singles Message and Statement. Be on the lookout for the american edition of Smile soon.
- Finally got around to listening to MV+EE's Old Black Joe/Huna Cosm 7".
- Sun City Girls are still re-releasing old material, this time it's a collection of singles and rare tracks on You're Never Alone With A Cigarette.
- The Hototogisu are also out with a new LP entitled Under The Rose on their own Heavy Blossom label.
- Ecstatic Peace! have released an amazing live album by the always beautiful Islaja called Blaze Mountain Recordings.
- Managed to find an old (and of course rare) album by Thomas Köner called Nuuk.
- Didn't even know this existed, but thanks to a reader, I obtain a copy of this rare 2CD-R bootleg by La Monte Young with The Dream Syndicate entitled Day Of The Holy Mountain.
- After looking around for missing Six Organs Of Admittance albums, I found a reasonably priced copy of his subscription-only release entitled You Can Always See The Sun.
- Ah man! I'm swarmed again! This is just a fraction of what needs to be reviewed. If you've been surfing through the site, you might have noticed a ton of new records with empty reviews, well... there's probably tons more you might have missed. Here's what I had time to do: First off, I just received a ton of old and new Sunburned Hand Of The Man releases. Finally got the Hoof Trip/Plague Pipe 7" and a working copy of Locked/Loaded (took forever)! Plus the new goodies: Attica Rectangle, The Loft Tapes, Chinese Perfume, Sugar Mongolia/Process Of Weed(ing) Out and the tour-only split Sunburned/Bill Nace tape.
- Three new Wolf Eyes releases I got at their latest gig in Montreal: Claustrophobic, Intrusion and the very limited Back To Attack.
- I managed to find this early CD-R on Sunburned Hand Of The Man's Manhand label by The Shit Spangled Banner entitled Inflated With Self-Hatred.
- William Basinski has re-released his masterpiece The River on his very own 2062 label.
- Fursaxa has two new albums announced for 2008. Kobold Moon is one of them and it simply must be heard.
- I was really happy to be able to find this rare Dead C recording entitled New Electric Music through discogs.com.
- Yay! More stuff! Check out these two new MV+EE releases on tape: Catalytic Dung and The Ground Ain't Dirty.
- Took almost a year after ordering it, but it's finally in: Ariel Pink's Lover Boy.
- Found this rare, tour only release by GHQ entitled Seven Sisters recently on eBay.
- Don't know what keeps me going back to them, something 'bout 'em I guess: Franklin's Mint have two new releases after a three year hiatus: Time Bends Light and Tír Na Góg.
- These two releases by Pauline Oliveros are absolutely outstanding and are musts for drone fans: Accordion & Voice and The Wanderer.
- FIVE old and new releases by legendary finnish modern composer Pekka Airaksinen: In Balance, Good Jazz Glass Jazz and the three volume Sinf1, Sinf2 and Sinf3.
- And finally, I managed to find a fairly reasonably priced complete edition of Aphex Twin's Analord series with the binder and the first edition of Analord 10. Each installment is reviewed for itself.
- Alright! More stuff! Found some rare Volcano The Bear stuff, including the triple LP, deluxe edition of their Classic Erasmus Fusion and a brand new private CD-R release entitled Volquince.
- Two new Sunburned Hand Of The Man releases as well: the perplexing Weekend At Burnie's 2 LP and High, a DVD-R release featuring an incredible live performance by the band.
- Another couple of new releases by the always surprising My Cat Is An Alien: Speak, Alien Speak!, an entire show's worth of feedback on triple cassette and the mesmerizing Sotto Le Stelle on a purple, one-sided LP.
- In keeping up with my Boris collection, I purchased the split 7" She's So Heavy featuring Wata (of Boris fame) and Ai Aso (ex-White Heaven).
- Found this one for cheap and I've been without it for years: Peaches' classic The Teaches Of Peaches.
- And lastly, I received another hours-worth of new material by the always incredible The Necks.
- Finally an update huh!? Sorry if they're so irregular but... whatareyougonnadoaboutithuh? Anyway! Here's what's new: Lovely rerelease of one of Daniel (A.I.U.) Higgs's earliest releases Plays The Mirror Of The Apocalypse And Other Songs.
- More Andrew Chalk coming in. This time I received an early effort entitled Over The Edges.
- Loved his work on Kompakt's Pop Ambient series, so I bought his first full album: From Here We Go Sublime by The Field.
- The man doesn't sleep. Yet another release by the prolific Birchville Cat Motel: Gunpowder Temple Of Heaven.
- Started hunting all things related to Warp Records of late. Found some old Aphex Twin stuff including Classics, the Girl/Boy EP, On and On Remixes.
- Found some used Broadcast albums as well and fell in love with them all over again. Check out Work And Non Work and Haha Sound.
- I even bought albums from artists I am barely familiar with as well, like LFO's Sheath. Tons more stuff on the way hopefully sooner than later.
- And lastly, I've received my third and hopefully final version of Altar by SunnO))) and Boris; the "deluxe" 3LP edition on Daymare Recordings.
- Alright! Here's a couple of new reviews for some old and new material that recently came in! The highlight this time has to be my acquisition of the very first Child Of Microtones release by Matt Valentine entitled MV Fantasizes, Daydreams, Get Massaged & Shacks Up W/ Cocola.
- I'm going gaga for Boris these days and getting all the stuff I need to ge the "complete" versions of albums such as Altar and Rainbow. I'm even getting older collaborations like this first one with Merzbow: Megatone. A LOT more stuff on the way sooner or later.
- Got myself the new, remastered version of Prazision LP by Labradford; the very first release on the legendary Kranky label.
- Went nuts over Goldfall by Andrew Chalk so I got my mitts on everything I could find by him, including some collaborative efforts as Ghosts On Water and Isolde. Expect a bunch of new reviews quite soon.
- Just bought Radiohead's infamous EMI box with all the studio albums and took the opportunity to buy their new In Rainbows as well. All for less than fifty bucks... NEW!
- My Animal Collective collection is coming along nicely (if slowly); just got Here Comes The Indian in.
- After much hesitation, I finally started colleting albums by the expensive Andrew Chalk. No surprises here, love it! More on the way, but for now, check out Goldfall.
- I'd be financially ruined if I was as die-hard to get all the Wolf Eyes releases I could find, so I try and limit myself to official CDs and LPs only. Just got Black Wing Over The Sand in.
- I also had time to review yet a new Keijo release, the somewhat lackluster About Around.
- Bunch of new stuff in over the holidays. I finally had time to listen to two new collaborative tapes by Sunburned Hand Of The Man. One self-titled with the boys from Emeralds and another with obscure free-jazz saxophonist Paul Flaherty entitled Unmuzzled ox.
- I've also got two new tapes from a new side project by Rob and Taylor (of Sunburned Hand Of The Man) as The Braille Connection: Hair Doll/Doll Hair and Marigold Placenta In Venus.
- I've finally decided to get Boris' limited deluxe LP edition of their incredible collaboration with Ghost guitarist Michio Kurihara: Rainbow. Top-notch psych here!
- MUCHO RARE FIND ALERT: After years of searching, I managed to get my hands on an original, obscenely rare copy of finnish legendary noise composer Pekka Airasinen's One Point Music on LP. If you're familiar with his other group Sperm, you simply have to check this one out.
- I reluctantly put up Ariel Pink's unofficial CD-R release for both Scared Famous and FF>>, you'll see it's confusingly different from the later "official" edition.
- I'm steadily getting more party music in by the always fun 2 Many DJ's mash-up/mix sessions. This time I received As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pts. 4 & 5.
- And finally, I've reviewed Six Organs Of Admittance's incredibly trippy The Manifestation, a collaboration with Current 93's David Tibet.
- Happy New Year everyone! After taking a break from the site for the holidays, I'll try and bring updates to the site more frequently from now on. A few things came in of course over the course of the past few weeks. First off, I'd like you all to check out LSD March's latest (and wildest) release: Nikutai No Tubomi.
- My girlfriend gave me a boost and helped me out with my Residents. She got me Freak Show and Animal Lover as birthday presents! :)
- It's been a while, but I got a few new Birchville Cat Motel releases: Seventh Ruined Hex and Astro Catastrophies.
- Same goes for Sunburned Hand Of The Man, got a few new things in, some tapes still to review, but in the meantime, I checked out their latest decent into madness: Terminator 9.
- Still looking for used Animal Collective releases. Not so easy to find, but for now I've got the single for their song Grass off of Feels (which I have yet to own).
- After months of waiting and a few hassles with backordering it, I finally received my copy of The Necks' quadruple CD Athenaeum, Homebush, Quay & Raab.
- It's been discontinued for ages, I've been looking for it ever since I found out it was finally complete (and I found it for twelve bucks): Philip Glass' soundtrack for Koyaanisqatsi.
- I thought he was on hiatus, but here it is, a brand new recording by Keijo and his buddies: Touching Together.
- And last but not least, it's finally here, the latest installment in Kompakt's yearly Pop Ambient compilation series for 2008.

- I can breath again - for now! Major update: Here's a bunch of albums I found used: Marumari's second and third releases: The Wolves Hollow and Supermogadon. Boards Of Canada fans take note!
- Got two old and recent albums by Pan American: 360 Business/360 Bypass and Quiet City.
- Time to lighten up a bit with 2 Many DJ's As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pt. 1, 2 & 3. Definitely more on the way by these guys.
- From France, more dirty party music comes my way with Justice's Cross.
- Still can't believe this has finally been re-released on CD for the first time ever in it's entirety; the legendary japanese psych compilation Oz Days Live featuring performances by The Taj-Mahal Travelers and Les Rallizes Denudes.
- I finally completed my collection of studio albums by the wonderful Penguin Cafe Orchestra. Signs Of Life was the group's last recording with founder Simon Jeffes before his untimely death.
- Ben Chasny's at it again and beefs up his sound on his latest Shelter From The Ash as Six Organs Of Admittance.
- Couldn't pass this one up, the man still means too much to me: Mike Patton's Pranzo Oltranzista.
- More Rachel's has found it's way into my collection, not much left to get, but for now, check out their first album: Handwriting.
- I also managed to complete my collection of PJ Harvey's studio albums (will probably be getting the compilations as well eventually). These two were missing: To Bring You My Love & Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea.
- Unexpectedly found two new releases by Tim Hecker (I can keep up with Sunburned's release schedule but not his?): the vinyl-only Atlas & the CD EP Norberg in a local music store.
- In the very same store, I also bought yet another release by Boris. This time a split release with Stupid Babies Gone Mad entitled Damaged.
- Last but not least, I finally decided to start my collection of Animal Collective's albums after finding two during a clearance sale. For now I've got Hollinndagain and Strawberry Jam.
- Couple of new and old stuff came in recently, so here are a few samples: I found a very early release by the always trippy GHQ entitled Hea.
- I finally decided to cough up the extra bucks to buy the European edition of Vein by Boris and re-reviewed the American edition at the same time.
- Found a used copy of the amazing recording of Henryk Górecki's Synphony No. 3 - Opus 36 with Dawn Upshaw.
- I'm also giving myself a boost trying to find the out-of-print recordings of Thomas Köner and for now, I recieved a copy of the beautiful Daikan (hopefully there will be more on the way soon)!
- Had time to review a few new acquisitions today: Like the amazing new Boris with Merzbow collaboration (fifth one already!) entitled Rock Dreams.
- I've also gotten the rare (10 copies) second edition of Expo '70's box set. I've already reviewed a few albums which I had even before the box (doubles! anyone interested?), but to these I've now added: Surfaces, Exquisite Lust and Live 090505.
- Finally, after months of searching, I now own the rare art edition of Volcano The Bear's incredibly nightmarish The Mountains Among Us (with Voleven tagged along in a huge pizza box).
- Whoa! I got a load off my shoulders today! Still plenty to review, but today helped me out BIG TIME. Let's see. I've been slowly getting back all the PJ Harvey albums I could find (mostly used) after having sold them a few years back. For now I have: Dry, Rid Of Me, Is This Desire?, Uh Huh Her and her latest White Chalk.
- Same goes for Blonde Redhead with whom I got reacquainted after having been out of touch for a few years. Got two of them for now: Misery Is A Butterfly and their latest 23.
- The extraordinary Sun City Girls have been reissuing a bunch of their old vinyl-only releases on CD so I got all of those I could find: Dulce, Juggernaut, Piasa... Devourer Of Men and the creepy Jack's Creek.
- I finally got around to listening to two recent GHQ releases: California Night Burning Dreams (which came along with the Live In Seattle 3"CD-R) and the limited, cassette-only Square Growth Sessions.
- It's not over just yet! The Butthole Surfers are still re-releasing all their old material on their Latino Bugger Veil label, so I got the latest one: Piouhgd (which also includes the insane Widowermaker! EP).
- Norway's Supersilent have also come out with a new album (not a DVD this time) and this one packs one hell of a punch. Check it out on 8.
- And once again, we've got a new MV&EE CoM release, this time as The Golden Road. Ringside Seat/Nosebleed Tone includes highlights from their latest North American Tour.
- Slowly but surely, there's light at the end of the tunnel. Three new reviews today: Got Sunburned Hand Of The Man's much anticipated "collaboration" with Four Tet's Kieren Hebden: Fire Escape.
- I also received Daniel Higgs' second outing for the Holy Mountain label: Metempsychotic Melodies.
- To top it all off, after reviewing a bunch of Expo '70 albums last week, I'm slowly getting the other's in and you simply must listen to this one. Top five material here folks, the CD itself breathes life on Animism.
- Someone shoot me now! Overload! Had time to review the wonderful re-issues of Leonard Cohen's first three albums.
- Also, you simply must check out MV & EE's latest (and widely available) Gettin' Gone.
- *Sigh* I'm submerged in new music! Only had time to review all the Expo '70 albums I have in my possession. There's a bunch more on the way, including a box set, so check back soon.
- I'm also trying to build up my US Maple collection once again. First up: the group's unexpectedly accessible Purple On Time.

- I also bought Ariel Pink's "official", or should I say second or third version of his Scared Famous.
- And last but not least, it pays to be patient as I finally found this one for under twenty bucks: Thomas Köner's rare Kaamos.
- It's not much, but it'll lessen the load of reviews I have to do: First off, please check out my absolute favorite album of 2007, the stunning and unpredictable primitive psych world of Tarentel's Ghetto Beats On The Surface Of The Sun.
- I also bought the latest, and incredibly intense, slab of noise by the always-frightening Hototogisu: the vinyl-only Robed In Verdigris on the new egyptian label Nashazphone.
- Managed to write two new reviews (how do I find the time?). Check out the classic, first edition of Endless Summer by Fennesz! I absolutely need to find more of his stuff.
- Also wrote something for GHQ's latest live album Pale Heat Of Summer.

- Surprisingly, I found one of the three WARP Records anniversary releases from 1999, WARP 10+3 Remixes in a used record shop for quite cheap.
- My ongoing search for used White Stripes CDs continues with their breakthrough Elephant.
- Gotta keep things rolling so I reviewed the two latest tape-only releases by Sunburned Hand Of The Man: People and Civil Complaint.
- I also checked out the latest cassette single (!!!!) by the always fascinating Ignatz: Hello There Little Ghost/Slumber With Great Peace
- Geez! Really sorry for not updating so often! It's a lot of work and the music keeps pouring in so, bare with me as I try and update in bigger batches. Lots of new stuff this past month so let's start by a few switches I've made. First off: I finally got rid of my first edition Yahowha 13 box set God And Hair for the second, more convenient, edition in a sealed wooden box. Same music, better packaging!
- I also opted to get rid of my vinyl copy of the No Neck Blues Band's Meets The Clear People in favor of the recently re-released CD edition on Locust Records and, while I was at it, I also bought their latest album Roodemas.
- It was cheap and I'm learning how to play some of his compositions on the piano, so I purchased the renowned Pascal Rogé performance of some of Satie's piano works.
- Kind of disappointed by this one, but I purchased Devendra Banhart's latest effort, Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon, while visiting my sister in Quebec City.
- I finally found a working copy of John Cage's baffling performance of Empty Words (Parte III).
- Managed to find the two latest albums by Baltimore native and modern shaman/tattoo artist Daniel (A.I.U.) Higgs: Ancestral Songs & Atomic Yggdrasil Tarot.
- I'm slowly buying back the Rachel's albums I sold to move to Sweden in 2003. Got three of them in for now: Music For Egon Schiele, The Sea And The Bells and Selenography.
- Same goes for Montreal's Godspeed You! Black Emperor. I got all the available albums at once.
- After thinking about it for over a year, I went ahead and ordered everything I could get by famed australian post-jazz trio The Necks. Some albums are still missing but are on order, so eventually, you'll see them here.
- I heard this was extremely limited, but I was lucky enough to bum one directly off of MV+EE: the completely fried psychedelic sounds of Ragas Of The Culvert (The Ground Ain't Dirty).
- It's not over just yet! I had time to review Caroliner's Rise Of The Common Woodpile because it was on CD. Have a bunch of their LPs as well, but I want to take a decent picture of them before putting them up. So stay tuned!
- You know I'd never let a new Fursaxa release go by, no matter what format it's on. Check out her brand new 7" release entitled Maidenstone.
- Ditto for Grouper. You simply have to hear Tried, her latest 7" release.
- Whoa! I'm WAY behind on the updating department, I blame my procrastinating nature. Anyhow, here's a few updates to get me started. First off, I managed to find a copy of the No Neck Blues Band's rare, tour-only Aftypiclipse.
- More finnish madness with the latest vinyl-only release Rasvaaja by the always confusing Avarus.
- It took me a while, but I eventually decided to purchase (again) the one and only Aix Em Klemm album to date. This one features members of Labradford and Stars Of The Lid! How can you go wrong!?
- Already found another used CD by The White Stripes: Get Behind Me Satan. Should be getting all the albums shortly.
- So glad I managed to buy this one again: an early slice of Tim Hecker's solo work as Jetone entitled Ultramarin.
- Prurient's Pleasure Ground has also found it's way into my collection and is scaring off the albums around it.
- I've also got a new installment in Jandek's slew of live recordings and this one's a killer: the quadruple CD (!!!) release of Brooklyn Wednesday.
- Added a new Oval album to my collection; the noise-ladenOvalcommers.
- It's finally been re-released on CD and it's finally in my possession: Sun Ra's absolutely brilliant Strange Strings.
- And finally, why not add an early Stars Of The Lid album I now own for the second time: Gravitational Pull Vs. The Desire For An Aquatic Life.
- Quite busy updating these days! Just reviewed three albums by The White Stripes (hey! I got them cheap and God knows they rock!).
- Seeing as Bruce Haack's infamous The Electric Lucifer was recently released, I thought I'd review it and two other's by this master Moog alchemist: Bite and Captain Entropy.
- They've been piling up for weeks, so it's about time I reviewed a few older (and newer) Vibracathedral Orchestra releases (Copse, Vibracathedral String Quartet, Tuning To The Rooster and the amazing Wisdom Thunderbolt).
- This one didn't come cheap, but there was no way I would miss out on it: My Accident by Sunburned Hand Of The Man.
- After much pondering, I decided to get The Velvet Underground's loved/hated Peel Slowly And See boxset (used thankfully).
- Got my hands on the Black Babies (UK) by Devendra Banhart while used CD shopping.
- I can't believe I now own this one: MV+EE's incredibly rare Tonight! One Night Only! MV & EE In Heaven.
- Still getting a bunch of Birchville Cat Motel releases on a regular basis, it never stops: this time Birds Call Home Their Dead and the older Summer's Seething Pulse.
- Finally got my hands on a tape player, so here comes a few reviews of cassette-only releases. Starting with The Hototogisu's Live tour-only tape.
- The second of two recent releases by The No Neck Blues Band: after Angelo Mai, here comes the eleven year old The Large Taquat straight out of the archives.
- I've also got a minor cassette release by Vibracathedral Orchestra entitled Live In Newcastle And Leeds 1999 to start off a slew of new VO reviews (more soon).
- In addition to these three tapes, I've also added The Skaters latest vinyl-only Dispersed Royalty Ornaments.
- And while I wait for a few more purchases to arrive by Birchville Cat Motel, I've reviewed the year old Our Love Will Destroy The World which I finally decided to buy.

- Finally a new release by the ever-surprising Gang Gang Dance; Retina Riddim includes both a CD and some pretty fucked up visuals on DVD.
- Incredibly enough, I managed to put my hands on Fursaxa's very first release, a self-titled CD-R which would later be the foundation for her release on Ecstatic Peace.
- One of two new releases by No Neck Blues Band, first reviewed is the Angelo Mai CD-R taken from a live gig in Italy.
- Yet another release by the prolific MV+EE duo: Mars Delta (which almost slipped by me unnoticed).
- Sweden's new gods of heavy psych Dungen are back with ten new frosty tunes on Tio Bitar.
- And what would an update be without a new Sunburned Hand Of The Man release? This time, the extremely limited Antwerp Cassette bootleg on Puik.
- Finally reviewed a couple of GHQ releases I bought at a recent gig opening for Charalambides.
